Maciej Ceglowski has done it again, putting up an excellent essay that connects the arrogance of Silicon Valley and its obsession with surveillance capitalism (though without linking to Shoshana Zuboff, who originated the term) to persistent real-world problems that no amount of surveillance, big data gathering & crunching, or VC investment in future unicorns, will solve.
